  • Minimises constipation issues
  • Prevents diarrhoea
  • Lowers the mortality rate
  • Improves health in critical fattening phases
  • Improves nutrient uptake
  • Augments slaughter yield
  • Increases the number of marketable rabbits

JELUVET® is free of mycotoxins and consists of:

65% crude fibre
87% NDF (hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin)
67% ADF (cellulose and lignin)
25% ADL (lignin)

Lignocellulose: Recommended by scientists

Scientific studies demonstrate that the maintenance of a healthy digestive system in rabbits depends on the content of lignocellulose (ADF) in the feed, particularly during the weaning phase. In order to reduce the risk of disease, scientists recommend a lignocellulose content in rabbit fattening feed of at least 15%. JELUVET® is a natural plant fibre with a nutritionally optimum cellulose/lignin ratio of 2:1.

Lignin for effective rabbit breeding

The crude fibres contained in the fattening feed for rabbits ensure faster intestinal passage and slow down the proliferation time of harmful micro-organisms within the digestive system. This leads to fewer losses in rabbit breeding caused by diarrhoea and ameliorates livestock health. Fibre fractions, such as lignin in particular, play an important role here. The higher the lignin content in the feed, the less time is needed for passage. Thus, nutritional diseases are prevented and immune defence is supported.

Crude fibre as an energy source

Thanks to their peculiar digestive system, rabbits are able to utilise high amounts of vegetable feeds that actually are barely digestible. Fermentation within the blind intestine allows feed with a low concentration of nutrients and high crude fibre content to be used as a source of energy. Therefore, if provided with sufficient lignocellulose, rabbits are able to very efficiently utilise the digestible fibres in the feed as energy for growth.

Lignocellulose improves animal health and fattening result

The distribution of fibre fractions in natural feed such as hay varies depending on harvest time and type of cultivation. JELUVET® lignocellulose can be added to rabbit fattening feed without any effect on the nutrient content. The consistently high lignin content thus leads to stable fattening results and livestock numbers.

Application

JELUVET® is added to the feed. We recommend adding 2% of JELUVET® to rabbit feed for fattening purposes.

JELUVET® is manufactured from controlled pure raw materials using a HACCP-certified process and can be delivered in bags or as loose product. Own brands are possible.
